Hello everyone,
since there has been a large growing interest for VFTs, I think it is about high time we pushed the hobby to the next level! I have always wanted to get my hands on the B-52 VFT cultivars, as they are the genuine giants of the VFT world, and i have heard nothing but good reports about its vigour and size.

The nursery I hope to order from is Keehn's Carnivores from Canada.
http://www.keehnscar...store_entry.htm
a few things to note:
(1)The order is not yet confirmed, please do not contact them and confuse them about this yet
(2)Phyto Certs are going to be expensive
(3)Shipping is going to be VERY expensive
(4)They need atleast 8weeks to prepare certs, as they have never shipped to singapore before
Because of this, we need a very large order to make it worthwhile. They have already informed me that their stock of B-52s is very large, and they should be able to supply regardless of the size of our order.
A safe estimate (forgive me if it is inaccurate, very inexperienced here) would be SGD$30.00 per plant
Other than B-52 VFTs, i can only think or D.ordensis, which is worthwhile getting from them. You can state if you would like any other plants in their catalogue.
I would like to simply, for now, find out how many people would be interested in this order.
Please reply here to allow a rough estimation of the figure before the actual order is made.
Another problem in this is that I was hoping i could coordinate the order within the next few weeks (my holidays). However, the possible 8week delay would land this right in the middle of my examinations period. If anyone else is willing to coordinate, please volunteer and discuss with me so that we can work something out.
thank you!

Hi,
I'm new to this forum. I'm keen but if they say it's shipped bare root, what are the chances of the VFTs surviving the transit, Immigration and Checkpoints Authority checks (rough handling and delays)?
I'm keen on:
B52 C$14.99
Dentate Traps C$7.49
Red Dragon C$11.49
Typical VFT C$7.00
Cheers,
David

hmmm Welcome To CP world ChineseJunk
Well as for your questions, VFT is quite hardy compare to the rest of the cp like drosera.
BUT!
I will say there is 75% of chance it wont die.
It may under going dormancy cos of lack of lighting whatever. So.... make sure your media is not wet, moist will do.

Yes i agree with jeff coz i also experience that happening to one of my VFT which i got bare rooted. Just have to be observant and be patience if it does go into dormancy.
