planting ginger plants or heliconia on driftwood

Have a wild idea of planting ginger plants or heliconia on driftwood using moss as a media...... Anyone try it before??? :redbounceflame:

Hmm, unless the ginger is epiphytic like some hedychiums, it would most likely perish.

hello, interesting thought, but don;t think it will work with heliconias.
Gingers.... unless epiphytic but such a small proportion of gingers are epiphytic...

Having this idea because I think they are hardly plants. & it could be rahter interesting if it works..... U can imagine, the roots travelling along the drift wood like the orchids.
