Hi all,

I bought a couple of plants 2 months ago. Being a novice, i bought based on appearance without any knowledge of its species or upkeep. The leaves started to fall and one of the plants has turned brown. Could some kind soul advise me if it can be saved? There are some ants found on it.

Hi , condition looks bad, the best people to ask will be the nursery you bought the plants from. The have experience growing these. Good luck :)/>

Looks like a variegated ficus. If you really want to try to save it, best to look at the condition of the roots. Take it out of the pot and have a look at the roots. Are they rotten with a bad smell? Or do they look healthy crisp and white? You can take a pic of the roots. Also how often do you water?
