Just sharing my info on newly established bee hives. these are asian honey bees

There was once a bee kept buzzing around me and I swat it. And I think the pheromones were still around for quite some time. Other bees were then going berserk and breaking all speed limits. :hysterical:/>

I have the bees to pollinate my small garden. My next step is to stabilise it and prevent swarming, meaning flying away.

Will update once I have a chance to split the colony.

How long does it take between establishing a new hive and the queen producing new queens?

My garden is small, mainly small fruit trees. However, my neighbours garden/flowers are the fruit source for the bees.

Seriously, I dont know. I only know they will produce queens cell when they want to swarm. And since my hive is new and the top box is still empty. I assume it is not happening soon.
