Ficus Plant Newbie need help in understanding my Ficus

Hi all,

I got a nice Ficus plant from Hawaii Landscape. However i really need to understand if my Ficus is doing well.

Please kindly refer to the attached image.

The first pic is my ficus newly procured @ 11 May 2015.

However after 1 month. The leaf start to shed. Is this normal? I look like the plant is getting Bald.
Can the expert here advise me. TIA.

It's most likely that the lower leaves are dropping. Lower/older leaves drop because:

1. They are just simply old enough.
2. Not enough nitrogen in the feed.
3. Insufficient watering.

As your plant gets bigger, it becomes quite a challenge to keep up providing sufficient nitrogen in the feed and enough water to keep it from aborting its lower leaves. You will then have to prune your plant to a size to match the pot.
