After reading an old post by Rex on his Lc Cuiseag "Manka En", I Finally got myself one from Song yesterday.
It's a huge specimen comes with 3 spikes (One spike with 10 buds, the other 2 are still covered in the sheath). No new shoot at the moment.
The plant is really top heavy and I have to get a decorative pot for its stability. Leaves are humongous and stout though.
The growth pattern is rather unruly but compensated by its well array of bifoliate leaves.
Looking at the older canes, it seems like it bloomed on almost every mature lead.
The older canes are a little shriveled but luckily the newer ones are plump.
Anyone has any idea if the cane could pump back up if it gets hydrated enough?

Yes Keff, 3 spikes. the oldest spike has 10 buds yet to open. 2nd and 3rd sheaths are opening. There should be at least 7-8 buds in each sheath. Hope no bud blast on me :)/> I'll post some progress photos soon.

The buds in the 2nd and 3rd sheath have peeped out now. Counting 7 and 8 buds. Hope they will all bloom for me.

It's started to bloom today. Super excited. Love green or red lip orchids. Hope the flowers will perk up straight though.

Emeral green in bloom. Got it in bud. So it's not my credit. I hope I could rebloom this one. Loving the round and fuller petals and sepals. Especially the green undertone is one of my favorite parts.

Finally, the first spike is in full bloom. Loving it. The photos don't do the blooms justice as the real flowers are more vivid in its tone and color.
The foliage and plant itself are not photogenic. Total of 10 flowers in a cluster, forming a wreath-like ensemble.

My next target is to take it to growing new shoots and flowering. I don't mind if it gives me fewer blooms on its new growth anyway.

Cuiseag Manka-en.

22 May 2015.

The first spike is in full bloom and guessing the second and third will soon follow.
However, the roots are not looking so well. The worst is, there are two oldest pseudobulbs rotting away. I have no idea what to do with it.
Could it be due to the Taiwan grower cut away the air roots before shipping to Singapore therefore sulked the plant?
I have no space for this huge specimen inside the apartment, so I'm gonna ditch it out to the planter when the blooms spent. Always, the orchids stay at the planter do better than indoor. Hope I could revive this.

Yes, most of the newer bulbs have sign of cut spike. Should be an easy bloomer but the growth pattern is extremely unruly.

It's finally in full bloom. I was away for the whole last week and found the first spike withered when I came back. OMG, i didn't get to capture a photo when all 3 spikes bloom. But, honestly, I feel like it's just overly showy. It turn out to be less natural to my liking. I prefer Green Taipower over this one. Sad to say.

This is my lovely Lc Green Taipower. The flowers are more natural in its arrangement. Heavier in substance and petal sepals are straigthertoo. Waxy and fragrant. Love this one from bud to flowers.

Lc netresiri doll X Slc. Kauai Starbright. Love yellow catts. Especially with these medium size petals and sepals. Fluffy lip is a plus. Smells heavenly in the morning. Spike is short with 1 to 2 flowers but it's good enough.

Flowers are gone and there are two shoots growing. Hope it would bloom at once on two new bulb. It would be fantastic.

Bc. Yellow Bird has just opened its first flower last night.
2 Spikes, 6 buds. Love the little "exotic" spots inside the column on the lip. Not too showy, that's why I like the most.

http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u403/Jim_Yung/20150531_185728-1_zpsvvhdd2az.jpg[/img]

Brassophranthe Sun Mei Gold. It's one of my favorites. Intense yellow with harlequin maroon spots. Although only one flower, I'm contented.
The flower is spent and I'm hoping for more to come. Two new shoots. Both around 2 inch in length now. Red tinge on the leaves, that's what I'm looking for.

I got another one from Song in bloom. Amazing flowers. Waiting for this one to re-bloom too.

An "alma-kee"-like cattleya but the flowers are smaller. I got one without a bloom.
Growing 3 new leads now and lotsa new root tips. Getting larger. Hope to re-bloom this one.

This how the whole plant looks like.

Lc Trick or Treat. Under an impulse I bought it without any flowers. No idea how the flowers gonna look like. Hope it's not in a cluster like what I found from google. I hate epidendrum flower cluster style.
Orchid blooms should look like a form of spray instead of a dense cluster array like lily, chrysanthemum...
Indoor west window sill culture. 12 hours low fan during day time for better air circulation.
Nothing's happening when I first got it. But now, it's growing two new shoots. some new root tips. I got a feeling that breezy condition does help orchids to grow.

New addiction. All type of Brassocattleya. Loving the compact growing stype. Miniature size pseudobulbs and leaves. Flowers usually emit scent at night. Combination of two or more colors is on the top of my wishlist.

http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u403/Jim_Yung/20150425_140218_zpsmqyasav1.jpg

Repotted it from pure sphag.
Growing plenty of new roots and a new shoot. Planter condition as well. 2-6pm of direct sun.
