This is my pot of N. x miranda that has been growing vigorously in the past few months.

I noticed the basal shoots are putting are small lower pitchers while the main plant is starting to put out upper pitchers.

Based on the picture above, i feel that the pot is rather overcrowded and want to separate the basal shoot.

Is it considered overcrowded or normal? Advisable to separate it at this stage?

You should only worry about whether the media stays moist for very long. My miranda didnt seem to have suffered in its small pot with its 2 basal offshoot. Recently repotted it and it made 3 more :P/>
