I tried to regrow celery more than a year ago. Initaily, some small leaves and a tiny root emerged. Later, black spots appeared at the cut area and rotted so I junk it. Would like to know if anyone has success in Singapore.

I tried that too and also with a number of other cuttings but all rotted.

All these internet sites ah... I got conned into trying to grow onions from just the discarded base with roots and it just rotted and stank up the whole place. zzzzzz

The only thing that sprouted was xiao bai cai trimmings but they did not root. Grow grow a bit and then it just died off
