Aloe vera flowering

My aloe vera is putting out a spike.

Interesting! Have never seen aloe flowering. How old is your plant?

I bought it about a year ago. It was 6 inches tall.

Wow, didn't know aloe vera flowers. Nice!

Mine suddenly turn light yellow n w black spots. Any idea why this is so? I only water it once in a few days. Does aloe vera need fertilising?

Yes. They definitely grow better. As far as I recall, I only fed my plant twice in the whole year.
