Been neglecting my plants abit as it's CNY, thus not many new picts. But wanted to share some fotos of my cute cactus Echinopsis Subdenudata flowering. Really big flower & super fragrant. Too bad it didn't last past 1 day. http://www.greenculturesg.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/flowers.gif

Started out with this black hairy thing some time back (approx 3 wks ago) )which I thought was some fungus or something. It turned out to b a flower bud!

The bud took a long time to form. So much effort & the flower died within the day. Poor thing! http://www.greenculturesg.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

Wow sthh, yours is more like the dowager. So tall & regal.. **kowtow** Nice, 2 flowers & 1 more bud coming up too. Amazing that it can actually do so well in the small pot. http://www.greenculturesg.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/flowers.gif

Can I ask u a qn? Does the dowager's flowers wilt within the day? Do u cut off the flower immed aft it wilt or juz let it dry up naturally?

They will drop off naturally, and you wouldn't even know that they bloom. No marks on the cactus.
Everytime I go look at my cactus, I only see lots of dried up flowers all over the places.

Oic, thanks for the advise! I believe my sole problem is that I look at them too much haha.
