One of the traps on my VFT opened today to reveal that it ate a small lizard.
Not a very appetizing picture

I'm inclined to cut the trap off lest it start smelling, what with the damp media, alternate rainy weather and so forth, plus I'm worried it might rot the trap and the media.

Someone on the Carnivorous Plants Singapore FB group suggested I run water through it, but the corpse is kinda stuck to the trap.

To cut or not to cut?

The wasps fly in to get moisture from the media, the geckos hang around to eat the wasps and the VFTs eat both =D

Sure thing! Not so sure about healthy as the petioles are still rather fat, but it is reaching the edges of my 15 cm diameter pot
