Painted Jezebel laying eggs on my mistletoe

Ok makes sense, lol.

sounds crazy but i will hope for some mistletoes! Do they have any preferred host plants or able to grow on their own?

Any plant that has thick branches should be able to support the mistletoes. But you need a bird to bring the seeds to the branch. After birds eat the fruit, the seeds are very sticky, and birds have to wipe their behinds on branches to get rid of them.

Does Painted Jezebel's caterpillars hang on silk thread like spider? Recently my office had many of them, each on a long silk thread hanging in mid air.

They do have silk threads, but I don't see my caterpillars doing that, hanging on silk threads. They usually go to some branches and then start pupae stage.

Yeah, this is the first time I seen them do it. And they do the spiderman thing only in the late afternoon, not in the morning or noon.

Butterflies and caterpillars came back.
This time, I left them where they are, counted 8 of them.
