I could not find any information about this stall called Bugis Street as no one seems to mention them on the internet.

Bugis Street
Lavender Food Square
380 Jalan Besar
#01-21
Singapore 209000

Opening Hours
Daily: 10.30am - 3.30pm

We ordered the Char Kway Teow to try which was quite decent with the cockles and crispy bits of pork lard. Of course the wok hei and caramelized sweet sauce added points to the overall taste of this plate of kway teow.

Our last itinerary of the day was at Antoinette, just a 3 minute walk from Lavender MRT. I did never expected such a classy looking cafe to open along the row of old shophouses. While the main courses here are in the range of between S$20 to S$30, the desserts are all below the S$10 price point.

Antoinette

Monday to Thursday – 11am to 10pm
(Last order - 9.30pm)
Friday and Eve of Public Holidays – 11am to 11pm
(Last order - 10.30pm)
Saturday – 10am to 11pm
(Last order - 10.30pm)
Sunday and Public Holidays – 10am to 10pm

Dining Area - Those expensive looking sofa seats and gold trimmings on the walls and ceiling might seem intimidating to a casual diner as the place look like a fine dining restaurant but at least the menu was not priced out of reach for most.

The Assorted Desserts behind the glass display look like yummy treats but we just wanted to chill out here though the air conditioning wasn't really cooling in the first place.

We did order one of their savory dish, the Brittany Crepe to munch on. The crepe came with a bowl of sauteed scallops, prawns, squids and mussels in white wine and cream sauce perfumed with herbs. A little creamy if eaten alone but with the crepe and salad, it eases out the jelak feeling.

I ended the meal with a pot of hot Orange Pekoe Tea; the tea leaves from the hills of Sri Lanka that leave a citrus aftertaste.

At about 5pm, we were informed by the staff to settle the bill since they need to prepare the place for dinner. And this concluded our day tour of the Lavender and Jalan Berseh areas. Thanks Bunny for organising the the outing along with great company from Kahlan and Jeremy. Although the weather was rather unpredictable, I had enjoyed the tour and visited places which otherwise I would not have done so myself.
