I saw quite a few pots for sale in FEF Queensway Ridout Garden last Sat. What's so special about this plant?

Many nurseries have it nowadays. Many community gardens have it too. Quite easy to grow by cuttings.

Yes, this plant is very easy to grow. My uncle gave us one plant, not sure where he bought from but it came with creepy crawlies and I'm still trying to kill the milipedes. But from that one plant I now have two additonal pots from cuttings. Growing quite well :)/>

Go to the nurseries @Thomson Road... they have them in stock.

Alternatively, go hang out at this sub-forum (http://www.greencult...hangegive-away/) -- occasionally, some kind souls would offer free cuttings :)/>

Hello everyone,
May I know how can I procure the sabah snake grass plant. Last year my dad suffered from 2nd stage cancer in stomach although he has done his therapy and is doing fine. I would still like to get hold of this plant. He has returned back to Nepal but occasionally he comes down for the checkup. But I do reside in singapore. Thank you for your kind attention.

Hi
You can take cuttings off my plants too should you need more. The leaves are best consumed fresh daily although the dried ones can be used too. I live in the west.

Hi all, my bro in law just diagnosed with early stage cancer tumors in his lungs. This despite having stopped smoking 35++ years ago when he & my sis married. He just turned 68. Now Intensive chemo prescribed 3x a week for 4 weeks 1st. That's bound to take the wind out of him. I had tried a few nurseries near where I live. A couple don't carry this snake grass & at another, its out of stock.

Is anyone able to spare a cutting or 2? Disclaimer: I'm still a novice gardener living in HDB & been known to have brown fingers. But I hope to grow this massively as I hear a lot is needed to make the tea that has to be drunk daily. Advice on its care is appreciated too. Thanks. xx

Hi Shann
Sorry to hear about your brother-in-law. I can spare you quite afew cuttings so that you can have better harvest sooner. You will need lots of leaves based on what I read. I have tried growing them in soil and via hydroponics and both worked. An easy plant to grow even for beginners. If you grow them successfully, you will have multiple pots soon. I stay in the West. You can PM me to collect if you are keen.

Any other recommendations? Will also try to grow some once I got hold of cutting. But it will be sometime before I grow enough for daily consumption.
