My lettuce is growing taller n has a lots of new buds on the tip. Can I continue to let it grow, or need to cut n replant lower with bottom 2 leaves? Afraid that it will die if I cut it.

Btw, how to upload the photos? Only saw 1button but need to define url. Thanks in advance.

It seems to have reached the bitter lettuce stage.

Can let it flower and collect the seed if your lettuce is not hybrid type.

How long have you plant this lettuce?

I had cut some of the leaves off to eat. Yup, found them bitter now.

I bought this pot more than one month ago. Ok, will try to collect the seeds n c if I can replant the bottom stem. Thanks.

From seed to haves is about 30 days, anything longer will be too old for consumption. It's seem to have insufficient sunlight also, the leaf is not growing well. Try again you will have better result. :)/>

Actually, there's a seedling growing in the pot. Think it might b a lettuce seedling as the stem is also red. (See below link)

Intend to repot it to its own pot when it's bigger. Any idea when I should move it out?
