I have an Epidendrum that just finished flowering. A few days ago I noticed this little growth on the stem.

I am glad that something is coming forth, but anxious to know if it is keiki or a spike. This is my first Epidendrum, so I have no idea if keiki will ever grow from stem. Anyone experienced enough to say what it is likely to be?

Thanks!

My epidendrum has been producing more flowering spikes from the main flowering spike. So it could be a flowering spike.
It can also produce keiki from it's flowering spike.
