Leafless Orchids

This one flowering now.

Taeniophyllum obtusum
This flower is only 2mm wide (yes that small). It's a leafless orchid so the plant photosynthesises via the chlorophyll rich roots. Found in south-central China, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Borneo, Java, Sumatra and Vietnam in swampy primary montane forests on mangrove and coffee plants at elevations of 150 to 1600 meters. Nice shot!

But the width of the flower and the roots are comparable. Are those roots also about 2mm?

Thereabouts. I can't see very well for things these small so the camera is the best solution.
