Hi IpomoeaD,

I have alot of lime plants(from CNY) and a pomelo. Most of the caterpillar are actually found on the pomelo plant. Unless, my pomelo bo tak, then they will start laying eggs on the other lime plants.

No... They just come and lay the eggs on the plant. I don't spray any pesticide on all my plants.

2nd floor. I do get attacked by giant grasshoppers that jumped from downstairs. But no butterflies.

Like that, it means that your area is so sunny and dry that the butterfly egg got cooked by the heat. Nothing u can do about it. U cab try emigrant t or plain tiger as they lay egg in all situation. I got neighbor who complained that my butterfly eat up their lime plant . Unfortunately , all my lime plant is planted in full sun,my plant have not,got attack by lime butterfly or common Mormon butterfly as a result.
