Yes that's a fruit. There will be seeds in there and you can get more plants from them.

Wow thanx! Hv a couple of flowering cactus but first time hving fruit.. Sorry har when to extract seeds now or ripe? Anyone wans seeds? *.*

this cactus i grow before, how big is ur cactus

isn't there flower before the fruits emerge?

I found it odd too when I read the title.

It's always in this sequence: bud --> blooming flower --> fruit (optional)

Funny part is this cactus was not flowering. Been a month or two since it bloomed n dried. Tat y wan to confirn if its fruit.

It's the fruit of the flower that bloomed 1-2 months ago.

I hv other cactus that flower and flower again after few months but didnt fruit. First time saw the fruiting.. Pretty ignorant n excited.. Thanx!

i have the same cactus but mine has been flowering non stop 1-2 flowers everytime.

but ive never seen these kind of buds on mine. mine just send offshoots/pups on the side.
