P. Erawan

Platycerium Erawan, another hybrid creation from Thailand.
I think this is the newest hybrid to be produced in recent times.
This is a P. Elephantosis x P. Madagascariense.

"The shield fronds of this hybrid do not show much of the Madagascarense waffle like patterns because it shows intermediate
characteristics of it's other parent, P. Elephantosis. So it is more extended, unlobed and spreading
slightly forwards. The fertile fronds are more pendent and wedge-like, with apical margins shallowly forked
and sporangial patches occuring in the apical part of the frond."

Hoping to get my hands on one during the coming Garden Festival.....

This is the photo of the F1 hybrid.....
