Hi people. It's been a long time since I visited here as I didn't have anything worthwhile to post. Now that my C. Dutchman's Gold is blooming, I thought I'd share a few pics. Well, this bugger initiated spike in the height of summer when day temps were around 36 degrees and night temperatures around 30 degrees. Lost a few buds due to my mistake. Should have moved them to shade when I saw the sheath coming up. Two spikes now and a third one coming up from behind.

Yes, it is a heat-tolerant hybrid. It is a cross of Cym. Golden Elf with the Australian species madidum. Fragrant too. Bloomed for me in January and again now in June. I guess it should do well in Singapore since the spikes initiated in the height of summer for me.
