Wow, very nice. I've never seen such a plant before. It really looks like a bat!

How big is the plant in terms of leaf size?

I received a tiny tacca plantlet 9 months ago. By now, the largest leaves are about the length of my hand. I wonder if it's mature enough to start flowering soon.

Hi Alfredo Tan,
Like your Bat lily plant because it is a young plant and could bloom for you.

However, I like to share 3 photos which I took this afternoon with you.

This is a mature Tacca lily and it has been flowering very often.

You could also see another new flower bud growing out on the right side.

Once the flower bloom is over they will set seed pot like this shown below. This seed pot will stay with the mother plant for almost 1 year in order to be ripen.

After ripening open the seed pot and you could see small seeds, take out the seeds to sun and dry it.
Once it is dry you can grow them - see below.

Cheers,
BMB Albert

@Wisteria: The length of the largest leaf is around 14.5cm long.

@BMB Albert: Thanks for great advice and the beautiful photos. But do they form seed pods readily?
