If I'm not wrong, it is called "Wandering Jew", understand it is a Chinese Herb. They are very easy to propagate via stem cuttings. can let it grow as ground cover or in hanging pot and see its beautiful stripe leaves hang down. I got 2 pots of them but color is a little different from yours, silver with red stripes....

Mtks. i have guess that too but the colour different from the search.... what about the growing media? does it need to be in full sun (ground cover).

Look under Tradescantia zebrina, the one on photos look like a local herb, can grow in any soil, full sun to semi shade, too little light they will rot. chinese nickname call "kar chur sit" Cockroach wings in hock kian.
boiled the plant with rock sugar good for throat, esp people who sings a lot. Also for cooling down the body "liang teh".
