My helper planted some black mustard seeds( biji sawi) that we use for cooking. We now have a few mustard plants with yellow flowers. She says the leaves are edible and can be cooked. My research on the net seems to indicate she's right but I thought I'd best check first. Dont want to be poisoned. Would appreciate any input. Thanks!

Black mustard is definitely edible but they will be very peppery and more bitter than normal Sawi
You also should have picked the leaf before the plant flower. Now the leaves will be even more bitter
