I found two pots of geberas that FEF had thrown away on the rubbish dump, its not damaged. One red and pink.the red looks fine but the pink had some yellowish leaves. What should I do to it and where should I put it?

the gebera...

hi aaron,

actually yr gerberas look quite lush... i was expecting really scrawny and sad looking plants.
well, check if the soil is soggy or has poor aeration. the yellowing could be due to excessive water drowning out the roots. knowing FEF plants, they usually use pretty water-retaining mixes (prob because it's functional for the short term, ie shipping/importing plants?? but not so good idea in the long run). if so, you might want to repot with better draining soil mix.

another remote possibility is overfertilizing. i once killed my gerberas that way. they say to cure that, run water through the soil to flush out the fert. the only thing i didn't quite like was the fact that i introduced a lllloooot of moisture to the plant... and soil was slow to dry out... so bye bye plant.

ya, this is just my 2 cents. good luck! :flowers:/>
