Mushroom is edible but this one is edible or not, i am not sure. Have you planted it?

since you were there at the garden festival, you should have jolly well ask the 'experts' there attending to guests and visitors. they should know better as they are the ones displaying it.

I dont think its edible, but it looks good and presentable.
