Twin buds going to bloom

It should be full bloom by noon but due to the rain (it is stand in open under sun and rain), it delay till 3pm+

Hi Abby! The Astro flowers look great!! Funny, that plant never never bloomed for me...thosw two flowers are the first flowers. I especially like the first pix with the two buds and showing the "smiling face"...2 eyes and the nose. Well Done!

Thanks Fred for the lovely plants, I think they really love the hot sun on the roof terrace, the white aloe leave so fat now, can cook honey aloe already.

My Frailea Castanea aka chestnut cactus. Those should be the flower buds on top but I doubt it will flower now as the sun is changing direction and the number of hours of direct sunlight is getting shorter as the days goes by. At least it should still set seeds without the flower opening.

Oh, it look like offshot / new growth to me and not buds, mine enjoy too much sun and all are still single.

Offshoot comes from the side, the flowers are on top.

How are the progress of your Chestnut? those on top are really look at ana to me and not buds.

My messy hair catis have a bud ytd, forgot to take a photo, today it become like this, I wish it is not a niight bloomer!

That is a developing seedpod. Frailea sp. will seldom successfully flower here. The few hours of direct sunlight that you can get in an apartment are nowhere near enough for buds to develop, not to say bloom.

Thanks Damian, still got chance to see it, look at the other few white woolly thingy there, I have to stay back to see them the next round.

I think I missed this one too, look like it bloom now but I am not there to see it.
