For a start, I would like to make a request to the forum moderators to kindly allow for a separate section for Oncidiums if possible. Not sure if the rest of the forumners will support this. Currently, Oncidium topics are pretty scattered in the forum and they popular among growers.

In any case, here are some pics to share.

Ben, what are you potting your onc in? i am tempted to start onc again after a hiatus of about 8 years.... i saw a nursery potting onc in saw dust which i thought was quite smart as it retains a bit of moisture but rather well training.

I use charcoal for most of them. I sometimes break off the anaks and tie them onto fern root and both medium seem to be suitable for them. Saw dust tend to deteriorate over time and may affect the plant. Do note that Onc roots are very delicate so too much repotting is always a risk. Hope this helps.
