As many had some difficulties getting around the problem, I have added this concised guide to help you along. Most features remain unchanged but some buttons and links had been shifted or removed.

1) There is the new Control Menu located at the top right hand corner where you will find your PM box and other controls.

2) To view new forum posts since your last visit, click the View New Content link just below your control menu.

3) Watching forums and topics: Now you can "subscribe" to a particular forum or topic using the watch function. It is something like a shortcut to the topic/forum which you had bookmarked. The list of bookmarked forums/topics will appear on the right hand side of the forum main page, which will help to reduce time for you to track down a specific forum/topic.

Click watch forum /topic to create a link on the main page.

4) The button / link showing the active topics in the past 24 hours is available at the very bottom bar on the forum main page:

5) For those who edited their posts, the images may be lost due to the conversion from image tags to html tags. To fix it back, simply replace back the [IMG] tags and copy your image url. Alternatively copy your image url from the faulty html tag and click the "Insert Image" button.

6) As for those who had trouble with the messenger, from what I have found out is that messages are now "conversations". This would mean that it is no longer an SMS style of messaging. A conversation will involve at least two users, and they have to MAINTAIN that conversation in order to continue to communicate and reply. A red cross will be shown if one of you deleted that conversation. A new feature is that each conversation you can add up to 99 users.
Simply speaking, messenger has evolved from a SMS style, to a MSN style of communication. It may sound new to you, but I believe there are benefits of such communications. Currently, your inbox maximum size is 100 conversations. 1 Conversation can contain several replies and messages, so in fact your inbox size had increased!

a) Deleted conversation: Status is shown here. Once all participants had "left" or deleted the conversation they will no longer receive new messages. So if all had left, there is no way you can send messages to them again, but to start a new conversation.

B)/> Active conversation: As long as there are two users maintaining the conversation, it will remain active, meaning that you will be able to reply to this conversation. New feature include that you can now check whether the other party or parties had read your latest message or not. Can you see the bell? The bell enables you to on or off notifications to your email inbox.

7) Embedding Video or Song. The new forum enables you to embed video and audio files to your post. Check out the "add media" button in your tool box when you create / reply. I have added a sample video below:
