If you grow in a pot, the alocasia will be small. But if you grow on the ground, it is GIGANTIC.
Wow! You have been making lots of purchases hor? :D/>

I think your $2.50 sanserveria/caladium combo beats anyones bargains on this forum! :hysterical:/>

On another note, SNH, we saw the same begonia you have (the one incorrectly ID'd as black carribea) yesterday. SS and i picked up a pot each at $8 (asking price was much higher but we decided if cannot get $8 we wont buy, lol)

On the $2.50, the vendor was agonising whether the price was $2.50 or $3.00 and here we are thinking "Quick! Just transact lah! Whatever!"

On the $8 begonias, we stood firm at that price and refused to budge. It was a case of who blinked first but we ain't blinking! The seller buckled and offered it to us after we finished loading all our other purchased (trees! mind you) into the car. Bagged it and loaded it. This time, Dnn nearly had to carry them on her lap because there's really no more space! Stuffed! But goodly so!

Daniel,

Are you going to leave them in their pots or bunch them together in a big wide pot? I am thinking of the latter, and make it look like a flower arrangement. Every week, get Grandi to come here and arrange!

HaHa! Thanks SS for your recommendation :notworthy:/> I shall wait for you and Grandi to come over and create a piece of Caladium Art for me.

Yup... we die die went for a walk (remember our walk was interrupted by the storm?), and went all the way at the back to see plumerias. Then, I sent Grandi and Donna back and then my hubby called and said, no need to pick him up. I went to visit 2 more nurseries on my own! To look for hardscaping materials till 6.45pm! Solid sia?....

do take note that snails love caladium.
& caladium will sometimes go to sleep.
so don't throw away the bulb or remove it.

Dan, I fully agree. I will say I must stop. Then I check forum, and people ask if I want to join MO, and guess what's my answer? :hitmyself:/> :hitmyself:/>
Later, I'm going to collect Blue Ginger from Abby's place --- I think I will be going home with more than the blue ginger. Hee hee... :rolleyes:/>
