for those who need new basil cos yours wilted away like mine! (:P/>), NTUC extra at hougang festival market is selling many mini pots, each costing $2.80. They are having some garden sale, so lots of plants there, but dun expect variety.. more like quantity. hehehe. the basils are big and healthy.

I'm not sure if the coloration of the red/purple basils will be lost because of intense exposure to heat and sunshine...it seems like the colored basils all do that over here though.

Hi, I have not seen any red basil at NTUC finest (Thomson or BT). I go there almost weekly. They only have the regular sweet basil, lemon balm, oregano, chives and dill.

Oh.. ic.. Hm.. today I went to Cold Storage at Parkway Parade and they sell small pots of herbs - dill, rosemary, chervil and all.. at 3.50. No red basils too. Is interesting how I start to notice pots of plants in supermarkets now. I never used to see so much.. maybe just cos I wasn't really looking. :P/>

Sorry for the confusion..it is the normal basil that I am referring to at NTUC finest...

Red basil is at ION orchard..trying to recall if i had seen the red ones at cold storage great world....my lemon and cinnamon basils are from there...
