Every nursery seems to be stocking up on aroids (Alocasia, Anthuriums, Philodendrons...etc).
FEF has very healthy tissue cultured Alocasias (believe from Malesiana Tropicals) which are full grown at reasonable prices. Better than getting tiny tissue cultured plantlets which I did many years ago. These have a high chance of survival and it is a very good opportunity to grow some rare endemic Bornean plants.

Here is a huge Anthurium (crystallinum?) which I could not leave behind at the nursery.

Leaves will be 2x this size when full grown. There are many forms of this variable species but they have different degree of venations on green velvety leaves

Hi islaverde,

Wow, you have a really huge Anthurium (crystallinum) - it is a real beauty - I had mine bought from WF and the max leaf size now is about a 30 cm. I believe yours is more than a foot ? I wonder how big will the leaf be when your plant is fully grown.
Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,
BMB Albert

It is not sold at FEF (they don't usually stock rare stuff like this).

Would be nice if you could take a photo of that plant and post here!
