Btw, what is the common name to call them in the nurseries? I think if I say Pereskia Bleo, will they know what I am referring to? Maybe they will, most probably they won't :P/>.

hee hee isn't TPY = Toa Payoh? you can try telling them Rose Cactus or 七星针(7 star needles).

Unripe fruit.
It will turn yellow when it ripens.

This is the fruit, it will turn yellow. it is good for gastric pain according to my neighbour.

the fruits are really cute aren't they? look like wax. i plucked 1 and it lasted for more than a week so maybe grandi can find a way to work it into a floral display? :P/>

The findings of this study corroborated the need for a safety study on both the Pereskia species used for primary health care in Malaysia. Such studies need to be carried out before the continued widespread use of some species provokes long-term and irreversible damage.
