I planted 4 'Water Bananas' 4 weeks ago and all are now yellowing and wilting quickly. I do not know if 'Water Banana' is the right name but that's what the nursery (a well reputed one) told me. They look like the Alocasia macrorrhizos except that they are skinny and tall with more elongated leaves. They are planted in sandy soil from sea sand with lots of dead shellfish. The pond water is fed by rainwater from the roof and the water level is only about 12-15 cm (4-6") below the surface. The pond is a courtyard & so receives direct sunlight for about 7-8 hours a day.Can someone please tell me how to rescue my plants? Thank you.
